John Sayre – Founder
John is a graduate of the University of Toledo with degrees in Organizational Development, Transportation Management, and Business Management.

He is a seasoned business executive with more than 30 years experience in Sales, Operations, Product Planning, Strategic Management, Information Technology, Consulting and Sales Training. John is involved in his community and participates in several charitable and non charitable events each year.

Beth Rose
​Beth, owner of Rose Auction Group and third generation auctioneer has been providing clients with auctioneering services over 25 years.

As the first female in history to win Michigan State Auctioneers Association bid calling contest in 2009, and auctioneer of the year in 2010, Beth has proved herself a top notch Industry Veteran.

Beth’s company founded in Toledo Ohio, has expanded to serve clients throughout the state of Michigan and also Naples Florida. Beth participates in several charity auction events each year for many of the well known charities in the Toledo area and abroad.

Todd Gagne’
Todd is the CEO of Its Interactive Media, a media and marketing firm based in Toledo Ohio. He is a highly accomplished and motivated business professional with a proven track record of rapport building and resourceful problem solving.

He studied music and business administration at Florida State and possesses degrees in marketing and web design and development. Todd was instrumental in the development of the Monclova Historical Foundation’s Monclova Community Center restoration project and is a volunteer for 1 Matters, a homeless awareness project based in Toledo Ohio.

Pam Mills
Pam’s impact into volunteerism spans more than 25 years, and most recently involving 4-H and other local non profit organizations. Professionally, she is employed with Impact Products in Sylvania Ohio as a  Marketing Content Coordinator.

Pam studied VCT (Visual Communications Technology), Business and Marketing at Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo. Prior to working at Impact Products, she worked at The Blade Newspaper for 15 years as a graphic designer, then transitioned to the IT department as an IT System Analyst.

​With her 20 plus years of experience as a graphic designer, experience as an IT systems analyst, and instructor in the media industry, Pam brings extraordinary talent to  our marketing efforts.

Pam is married to David Mills and they reside in Sylvania Ohio with their 6 children.

Tonya Adams
Tonya is an associate with Tuffy Corporation. She has extensive experience working for and with with various charities including the United Church of Christ in Cleveland Ohio.

With the UCC she assisted with the UCC Disaster Ministries helping to coordinate their global disaster relief efforts.

Tony Iannucci
Tony is a lifelong resident of Toledo Ohio and an active volunteer with Blessings in Disguise and other charities. He is a 1983 graduate of Springfield High School and a 1988 alumnus of The Ohio State University.

Tony spent 25 years as an F-16 pilot for the 180th Fighter Wing here in Toledo and is currently a Captain for United Airlines. He lives in Sylvania with his wife and has 2 adult children who also attend OSU.

Kari Shuman
Kari came to Blessings in Disguise as a volunteer and decided when asked that joining the Board would give her better insight and understanding and get more immersed in our mission.

She is a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines and has two children.

James Preston
James came to Blessings In Disguise as a very active volunteer and joined the Board in October 2017.

He is very active in our fundraising efforts and commits his time to various nonprofit organizations in the area. James is a professional DJ and Emcee where he resides in Toledo with his son.

Vinnie Schiavone
Vinnie Schiavone is a proud member of the Board of Directors for Blessings In Disguise since Fall 2019. He came to the board through sponsorship and is excited to help grow the organization. Having grown up in Toledo, this particular charitable group pulled at his heart strings as it specifically helps those in NW Ohio. Vinnie is a Navy veteran and General Manager two local dealerships.

Rebecca Abu-Absi
Rebecca was born in Ontario, Canada and maintains close ties with her Canadian family, visiting often. She is a licensed Occupational Therapist  She attended Eastern Michigan University, graduating Cum Laude in 1998. She is employed by Progressive Therapy Solutions home care division and was instrumental in bringing to light the need to help seniors with free durable medical equipment in a conversation with John Sayre, founder of Blessings In Disguise .

She lives in Perrysburg, OH with her husband Ramsey. She has 2 boys: Taylor and Ethan, and 2 step-children: Tom and Isabel. Her hobbies include crafting, especially crochet, and rescuing dogs!

Cathy McGuire
Cathy, owner of McGuire Group Insurance has been providing Insurance Products in the Sylvania/Toledo Area since 2007.   She is passionate about helping others which is why McGuire Group Insurance has won numerous service awards.  Past and current community involvement  includes American Cancer Society,  Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Victory Center, Opera Guild, Sylvania Chamber and BNI.

Cathy is a 1982 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School, Served in the 180th Fighter Wing and a 1990 graduate of University of Toledo.  She resides in Sylvania Ohio and is the mother of  Molly, Maggie and Thomas.
